Together, three other women in my neighbourhood and I sewed masks for employees of a
private manufacturing company, parishioners returning to mass, and family members, raising
over $2,000 for CGSAC! The patterns varied from plain (less uptake) to pretty, to wildly bold.
This mask is a comfortable, economical and environmentally friendly alternative to the
disposable store-bought masks costing $1 each. When the masks were delivered, people were
directed to the CGSAC website to make an anonymous donation. This was a fun project that
built community, helped others feel safe and created awareness about who we are and what
we do at The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Association of Canada!
