Thank-you to all who joined together via Zoom to pray last evening. It was truly special to reach across the distance that separates us to pray to God who made us, God who saves us, God who is always with us. I particularly liked putting faces to names. I hope we can do this again soon.
For our members who have not yet tried or been able to enter the Members Area, here are some pointers:
When you come to log in the first time, click on the words "Member Log In" in the upper right hand corner.
Here's the weird part: The website is not smart enough to know that you are already a member of CGSAC. It has no idea that you used to log in to the old site. It is terribly self-centred that way--sort of like the 3-6 year old who thinks the world revolves around him/her. Therefore, when you get to the Log In page, click on the green words that say, "Sign Up."
Think of it as "signing up for the website," not signing up for a membership.
The login window will change to a sign up window:
You have 3 choices for signing up. You can allow Facebook or Google to handle your credentials (email and password) or you can enter your email and make up your own password. We would prefer you to use the email address that we already have on file for you, but if that has changed, don't worry. We may contact you to eliminate any confusion.
At this point you would expect that you should be able to see all the Members Area pages, right?
Not so fast. As in the atrium, we move at a measured, slow pace... 👀
Actually, the delay is due to the fact that the website is not able to check to see if you are already a member. I do that. I receive a notice that you have made contact with the website and I check the records to make sure you truly exist 😉. It is then just a matter of me telling the website that you have already purchased a membership. This only takes a few moments once I get the notification, but you may have to wait a few hours if you catch me while I am sleeping 😴
