For adults working with the 3-6 year-old child

The Level I course lays the foundation of the theory and practices of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for all three levels of CGS. This 90+ hour course concretely prepares the adult to work, to listen to the Word of God, and to learn with and from children.​

...to nurture the spiritual needs and capacities of the 3-6 year old child. ...to engage the child in the work of Level 1 by listening together to the Word of God and proclaiming the Good News. ...to guide 3-6 year old children into the mystery of the Kingdom of God through the words of scripture and the prayers of the church. ...to prepare a Level 1 atrium and make some Level 1 materials.




Expectations


  • 100% attendance and engagement in group discussions, prayer, and simulated presentations using the materials.
  • 10 hours minimum observation in a level 1 atrium and / or Montessori casa.
  • Submission of a minimum of 10 completed personal album pages from 5 different subjects.
  • Completion of all assigned reading.
